Risk waiver
Last updated: June 2026
Traverse Collectif outings (cycling, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities) involve risks. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following.
Voluntary participation
You participate in these outings of your own free will, fully aware of the risks.
Risks
Outdoor activities involve risks of injury: falls, collisions, traffic, uneven terrain, weather, winter conditions, and fatigue. These risks can result in serious injuries. You are aware of these risks and accept them.
Your responsability
Each person is responsible for their own safety, equipment, skill level, and decisions during the outing. You must decide for yourself whether a route is suitable for you, and you may withdraw at any time.
Helmet and gear
Wearing a helmet is mandatory when riding a bike. Make sure your bike and equipment are in good condition and suitable for the announced route, and that you are physically fit enough for the ride.
Traffic rules
Whether you're biking or walking, you must follow the Quebec Highway Safety Code and the rules of the areas you're passing through.
Supervision
Traverse Collectif organizes group rides for cycling enthusiasts; however, it is neither a professional guiding service nor a certified coaching program. We ride together, but everyone remains independent.
Minors
A minor may participate under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who must give consent.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, you agree that Traverse Collectif, its organizers, and its volunteers shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained during or in connection with an outing.
Acceptance
By registering for or participating in an outing, you confirm that you have read and accepted this waiver of liability.
